Discussion and comments about the city Belgorod, Russian Federation

I’ve been to Belgorod Region twice, and I liked it both times. Belgorod itself is considered a beautiful city, and I agree with that. Most of all I liked University Square. It’s the main walking place in the city. It’s a huge square, the original buildings of Belgorod University and the student dormitory, sports complex named after gymnast Svetlana Khorkina, the river, the bridge, monuments, and fountains. In my opinion, there are not enough trees in the square to provide shade for strolling in the hot summer weather. Perhaps later there will be more trees. On the other hand, though, the view of the university will be blocked.
