- Екатерина TranslatedI went to Tver on a business trip for work and lived there for two months. I liked the city very much, it gave the impression of being developed, growing, prosperous and full of greenery (I visited in summer). Besides work, I managed to visit several sights of the city of Tver and a couple of museums. I was left with a pleasant impression of the Afanasy Nikitin embankment, the Travel Palace, and the City Garden. I was at the "Goat" museum, a historic place, I recommend it, the entrance ticket is only 100 rubles, and there are many emotions. The embankment of the Volga River impressed me with its beauty and cleanliness. Tidy, clean, comfortable to spend time on the beach. I would note the people as a separate plus. Kind, calm. Everyone I had to communicate with left a positive impression. The city is growing and developing. There are many new buildings scattered around the city. Modern architecture. There are no mass developments - anthills, compared with big cities. I lived in a new district. There is a school, a kindergarten, nearby grocery stores, pharmacies, medical centers. I checked real estate prices - pleasant. I visited a shopping center, many stores, there is everything necessary for a comfortable life. I noticed that food prices are slightly lower in non-chain stores. Taxi prices are also noticeably lower, from one end of the city to the other - 300 rubles during rush hour. Normal infrastructure, I went to several gyms. I saw that there are places for creative adults and children. A big plus is that I rented an apartment in a new building for only 12 thousand rubles a month, I have not seen such prices anywhere in the last ten years in cities 200 km from the Moscow Ring Road. Friends said that utility prices are around 1500 - 2500 rubles, very economical. Of the minuses - it seemed that the city is dusty. Roads and sidewalks in some areas of the city have not been repaired for a long time, drivers do not bother with parking their cars, they leave them on the sidewalks, which is very inconvenient. On forums, city residents write that there are problems with drinking water in Tver, and that is true. The water that comes from the tap, even with filters, has an unpleasant smell of metal, I did not dare drink it even boiled, I bought bottled water. There are problems with employment, the average salary in the city is 25000 - 30000 rubles as of 2021, there are not many vacancies for young people. I do not know why Tver is called a provincial city, I do not agree with that. I will definitely come back again and take a more detailed tour to study the streets of this town. My rating of Tver is 10/10.
